The Ultimate Fantasy Research and Management Tool
The Ultimate Football Network is a web service for football fans. By football fans.
There used to be just a few places to find great pro football content. A Fan could go to one or two mainstream sports sites to find news and analysis of their favorite teams. But with the explosion of social media (blogs, forums, etc), there’s more content than ever and the best pro football news, analysis and opinion now often comes directly from you, the fans.
How can the average fan keep track of all the different news, analysis and opinion of their favorite teams and players when the best content and sources are located all over the Internet? Who’s got the latest breaking news? What’s the hottest development? And which sources really know their football?
The Ultimate Football Network was designed to make it easy for fans to discover, share and discuss content and for fans to decide which content and sources are the best.
And when you can the news you are looking for quickly and manage your fantasy roster in the same place? We think you'll like it.
Who decides what content and sources are good?
You do. If you read an article and you like it, give it a touchdown. If you don’t like it, throw the penalty flag. It’s that simple. Now you, the fans, decide where the best content comes from and which stories are “hot”.
Customized For However You Follow Pro Football
Whether you are a diehard fan of one team or looking to find the latest/hottest news about your favorite team or player, you can see football content sorted any way you choose. How you use the Ultimate Football Network is completely up to you.
For any team or player, you can see the most recent news from anywhere on the Web or the hottest news from anywhere around the Web. Want to track a whole bunch of players or the players on your fantasy roster? One or two clicks and you've got a customized news feed.
Turning Fans into Experts
Feel free to use the Ultimate Football Network just to find the latest and greatest football content, but we know that many of you want to start becoming a resident “expert”. How you want to contribute is up to you, but you’ll get Football IQ points for however you contribute.
Add content to the site….get IQ points. Add content that people like….get more IQ points. Comment on an article….get IQ points. Make a comment that other people like….get more IQ points. Rate articles…get IQ points. After all, a fan who reads and votes on a lot of articles probably knows more than a fan who reads just one article. It’s that simple.
You’ll be able to see the most knowledgeable fans for each team and each community. Or you’ll be able to become that most knowledgeable fan. An expert, so to speak.
What about the “real” experts?
Who is a “real expert”? One of the oldest unanswered questions football fans have is “How did Mel Kiper get that job, anyway?”
Well now you get a chance to match up with Mel, head to head. Your content and analysis, right next to his. And if Kiper were to say, for example, that Andre Ware and Akili Smith will be excellent NFL players (which he did), or if he criticizes the Colts for drafting Marshall Faulk over Trent Dilfer (which he did), fans will give him the thumbs down. And he’ll be ranked lower than sources that don’t get it wrong. And maybe that’s you.
(Sorry Mel. It was either that or noting that Peter King thought that Danny Wuerffel would be a top fantasy quarterback in 2004. Could’ve been anyone)
The point is, the Ultimate Football Network levels the playing field. Here’s your chance to hold the paid experts accountable and become an expert yourself.
